Kari Bingen is the current Principal Deputy Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence (PDSUSD(I). She has a degree in Aeronautics and Astronautics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and is a 2002 NRO Technology fellow.
She serves under the Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence. In this role she assists with setting the direction of the Defense Intelligence Agency, the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, the National Reconnaissance Office, and the Defense Security Service.
Prior to her role in the department of defense, she served as the House Armed Services Committee Policy Director, where she advised members of the House of Representatives conducting oversight on military intelligence and space operations.
