Diana L. Gowen is the senior vice president and general manager, Public Sector of CenturyLink. In this role, Ms. Gowen oversees all efforts needed to execute on CenturyLink's solutions for its federal government customers, Sales Operations, Proposal, Program Management and Contracts and Procurement. Ms. Gowen has more than 30 years of experience as a senior executive in the communications industry. She began her career working in the federal government for both civilian and defense agencies in the United States and abroad. Before joining CenturyLink in 2005, she was president of government solutions for Corvis and Broadwing Communications.
Previously, Ms. Gowen served as vice president of MCI Government Markets, where she led the sales and program efforts for the defense, advanced programs and most of the civilian agencies. Before her tenure at MCI, Ms. Gowen was an executive at AT&T, where she focused on sales, marketing and product management, including an assignment in Bell Lab's Venture Technology organization. Ms. Gowen received a bachelor of science and a master of business administration from the University of Maryland in College Park.
