Brigadier General Elizabeth D. Austin

Brigadier General Elizabeth D. Austin assumed duties as the Commanding General Army Materiel Command - Southwest Asia/G4 United States Army Central, on 1 September 2012. In this capacity, she is a principal advisor to the Army Material Command and US Army Central Commanders for theater sustainment operations. She also oversees deployment, redeployment, staging, and movement for all personnel into and out of the US Central Command Area of Responsibility.

General Austin was commissioned in 1980 through the Officer Candidate School at Fort Benning, Georgia. Her previous military assignments include Maintenance Company, Brigade Support Battalion, and Sustainment Brigade Command, as well as various staff positions at all levels. General Austin's most recent assignments include J4, North Carolina Joint Force Headquarters and the Assistant Adjutant General - Army, North Carolina National Guard.
