

Karen A. Esaias has over 30 years of federal law enforcement and intelligence experience. As the former Vice Commander of the Air Force Office of Special Investigations, Colonel (retired) Esaias exercised command and control over thousands of active duty and civilian special agents charged with protecting Air Force personnel and resources against foreign, domestic, and insider threats. She interfaced with military and community leadership (national and international) on counterintelligence, law enforcement, and security operations and provided oversight for the implementation of security policies and procedures for Special Access Programs.
Following retirement from the Air Force, Ms. Esaias served as Vice President for Counterintelligence at Harding Security Associates, providing senior subject matter expertise to the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence for the integration of Department of Defense’s most sensitive intelligence activities. Ms. Esaias joined Kiernan Group Holdings as Vice President of Operations and advises various clients including the United States Air Force, Army, Navy, and the Department of Homeland Security.
Ms. Esaias is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown with a degree in Business and Economics. She earned her Master’s Degree in National Security Affairs from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California.
