Brigadier General Jodi Tymeson assumed duties as Deputy Commander, Iowa Army National Guard, Camp Dodge, Johnston, Iowa on 24 September 2002. As Deputy Commander, she is responsible for supporting the command guidance and to represent the Iowa National Guard in the community.
The General's active military service began in 1974 when she enlisted in the Iowa Army National Guard. She attended the Iowa Military Academy, Officer Candidate School. She was Commissioned in1982 and qualified in Signal Corps and commanded at the unit and battalion levels. Prior to this assignment BG Tymeson served as Commander 67th Troop Command and most recently as Special Projects Officer and Inspector General.
